What Should I Shoot A Video About? Content Ideas!

Today, let's talk about ideas for videos! We've talked about how to shoot video, share it, and more. But what should you actually talk about? The cop out answer is ANYTHING! Any article you find, any question a client asks you, any of this could be the topic of a video. In fact - a video gives you the opportunity to share your spin on a certain topic, along with letting your sphere actually SEE and HEAR from you. Below, we have a list of ideas. But again, these are just STARTING points!

  • LISTINGS - Let's get the obvious one out of the way! If you have a new listing, SHOOT A VIDEO WALKTHROUGH! Show off the flow of the home! (Or better yet, ask the SELLER to shoot the walkthrough so we all stay safe!)

  • Intro Video - Whether you're new to the industry, new to your brokerage, or just need an update, having an intro video is a great starting point! Shoot at 60-90 second video answering three big questions: How/why did you get into real estate, what's your favorite part of real estate, and why should someone work with YOU vs. someone else? Not only do these three questions help someone get to know about you, but they also help them get to know you!

  • Frequently Asked Questions - Is there something you get asked a LOT by your clients? Maybe about being pre-qualified or diving into home inspections? Whether it's a one-off or a series, shoot a short video answering questions.

  • Home Buying/Selling Myths - There is a LOT of misinformation out there. Why not clear some of these topics up? Is it REALLY cheaper to rent than to buy?

  • Lifestyle Videos - These are videos about, well, life! They could be gardening tips, home decoration tips, three ways to _____, really anything that provides value! Do you have a blog you love to read? Take one of their articles and shoot a video about it! At the bottom, check out an example JD shot based on an article he read - 10 Things To Do To Keep Your Pet Stress Free During A Move. Looks like he might be balding! 😂

  • Motivation/Positivity - The main goal of any video should be value, but value can mean a lot of things. Maybe you want to shoot a video just reminding your clients that you're there for them and they can reach out to you. Sometimes letting them know you're there to help is all you need to do.

This video was shot straight from a computer, no editing! Remember, the most important part of your video is your MESSAGE!
