Helping Your Sellers Shoot A Virtual Home Tour
Whoop whoop! Today, we wanted to share some tips with you on how you can help your Sellers shoot a virtual home tour! This is an ever changing period, and we want you and your Sellers to be equipped for any situation.
In some of our regions, our agents (and their photographers) can still go to listings. In some places, we have to abstain from that. Below, we have a flyer you can download and send to your Sellers on how they can shoot a video for you when you cannot!
Some points to remember:
Call your Sellers! They might be excited OR nervous about doing something like this. Call them to walk through the steps to make it as easy and seamless as possible.
Make it easy for them to send you their video! It might be easiest if they use the YouTube app to upload it to YouTube themselves, but you can also send them a link to your Dropbox, Google Drive, or have them text it to you. Whatever is easiest for them.
If they send you a video walkthrough, maybe put it into Videoshop to add some music to it! Adding music will make it a little more lively, and Videoshop (a free editing app, details in the below video) has many free options you can choose from.
Once the video is done, make sure to upload it to your MLS so it syndicates!
We also have a version of the flyer to send to other agents (you know, those competing agents who might not have the creativity and awesomeness that YOU do?). Is there a property listed that you want your buyers to have a better view of? Send this to the (OTHER) listing agent to help them work with their Sellers! In fact, we even removed our branding from it, to be polite. 😉
Download both the branded and unbranded PDF’s below.
Want to see a visual example of an open house tour? Check out our video from last week on how to shoot and edit one - something you can send to your Sellers as an example too!
If you're having trouble using any of the video apps to edit, please reach out to JD at JD@SchmidtHQ.com - he can do some quick editing for you and send you back the file.
